The Pobal HP Deprivation Index provides a relative affluence or disadvantage score by census year to small area, electoral division, Local Development Company and Local Authority level. Percentage data for the area is also given under the following categories: Population change, age dependency ratio, lone parent ratio, primary education only, third level education, unemployment rate (male and female) and proportion living in Local Authority rented housing.

Scope

The census figures relate to the de facto population, i.e. the figures include visitors present on census night as well as those in residence, while usual residents temporarily absent from the area are excluded from the census count.
